Visual soundscapes: Tree 973

The photo essay Tree 973 is accompanied here by two visual soundscapes. The first was recorded in March 2019 a few meters away from Tree 973, and features birdsong and the noise of a nearby construction project. An eagle is seen soaring above the site. The second was recorded in November 2019 when more clearing of the site entailed removal of smaller trees near Tree 973. The sound of construction machinery is off-set by the cracking sounds of the trees as they are broken with the claw of the excavator.
